Is your child car seat as safe as you think?

Over 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly in some way.  Whether it be the harness straps are too loose, the retainer clip is in the wrong position, or a seat that is inappropriate for the child is being used, mistakes are easy to make when installing a child car seat.

The Oldham County Police Department currently has six certified car seat technicians and by appointment, offers FREE inspections at its facility.  Not only will you have your child’s seat installed by a certified technician, but you will learn how to properly install the seat yourself, as well as how to properly use the seat once installed.
