Oldham County Police are investigating a barn fire that occurred at Wanaja Farms located at the 5200 block of U.S. 42 at approximately 11:30 PM on Thursday evening, April 29, 2004.   The fire resulted in the total destruction of the barn and four horses that were housed in the barn.

One of the horses which died in the fire was bred by “Unbridled Song”.  Unbridled Song was a sire of four grade 1 winners in his first four crops to race and of at least one $1 million yearling in each of his crops.

No other structures were damaged in the fire and no people were injured.
