OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL ACCIDENT

Oldham County Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Interstate 71at approximately 4:00 PM, on July 2, 2006.  Oldham County Police received a call regarding a two vehicle injury crash around southbound mile marker 22.  One of the drivers, and a witnesses on scene, stated that both vehicles clipped each other, rolled over, and came to rest in the median.  One of the vehicles hit several trees in the median, partially ejecting the driver, Tracy Ayana Miller-Torbert, of the 3800 block of Stevens Lane, Nashville, TN, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  The occupants of the other vehicle were both transported to Baptist Hospital East, by EMS, with non-life threatening injuries.  As a result, the interstate was partially closed for several hours.
