Oldham County Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at a construction site in the Hillcrest Subdivision, Oldham County. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 AM, on a report that a large piece of construction equipment rolled over, crushing the operator. The Victim, 43 year old James E. Carmicle, of Bethel Ridge Kentucky, was operating a motorized scraper. Witnesses stated that the two right side wheels went off a small ridge, causing the scraper to roll over, throwing Carmicle from the cab. The scraper then rolled on top of Carmicle, crushing him, causing his death. This case is being investigated by the Oldham County Police Department and OSHA. |
