OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS RELEASE

Fatal Traffic Collision On Interstate 71 In Oldham County

On 09/30/09, at approximately 03:18 am, Oldham County Police responded to a
two vehicle injury accident, on Interstate 71 near the 13 mile marker North Bound.

A red 1992 Ford Explorer, traveling North on Interstate 71, swerved over into the right shoulder, striking a parked Semi Tractor Trailer, causing the Ford Explorer to burst into flames. The driver of the Ford Explorer was prounouced dead at the scene by the Oldham County Coroners Office. At this time the driver of the Ford Explorer has not yet been identified. At this time Oldham County Police are still developing more information.

The operator of the Tractor Trailer, Abdul H. Rahmann of Birmingham, Al was cited for Improper Parking on the shoulder of the roadway.
