Motor Vehicle Collision Involving a Fatality and Injury

April 17, 2009 at approximately 9:25 pm, Oldham County Police responded to an injury collision on Veteran's Memorial Parkway involving two pedestrians struck by a vehicle.  A 2002 Jeep, operated by 19 year old Samuel Mattingly of Louisville was traveling west on Veteran's Memorial Parkway striking a male and female pedestrian while they were crossing the roadway from a west to east bound direction. Mattingly was not injured and no charges are expected to be filed.

Claudia Duffy, age 52, of the 6400 block of Cameron Lane in Crestwood Kentucky, was succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 1:55 am on April 18, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital.  James Martel, age 56, of the 6400 block of Cameron Lane in Crestwood Kentucky, is listed in serious but stable condition.
