On February 8th, 2006, Oldham County Police executed a search warrant at 1218 Riverside Drive in Prospect, inside Oldham County. Due to the high risk nature size alleged size of the drug operation, the warrant was executed by the Oldham County Police Special Response Team (SRT), led by Lieutenant Tim Wakefield (Team Commander). Information was received by sharing drug intelligence information from the Louisville Metro Police Department. After initial entry, officers with the Louisville Metro Police assisted with the operation at the scene. A substantial drug trafficking operation was discovered at the residence. In pursuant to the search warrant, a large amount of marijuana was seized (approximately 15 pounds), drug paraphernalia, cash, two loaded handguns with ammunition, unidentified pills, unidentified white powdered substance, and jewelry. The street value of the marijuana seized is estimated to be approximately $24,000, value of property seized is estimated to be approximately $24,000 and cash seized was $2,722. The total value of seized items is in excess of $50, 000. Four subjects were charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
