OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS
Oldham County Police responded to 6825 Central Ave. in Crestwood, KY for a robbery in progress at Cox's Smokers Outlet. Officers located the suspects on Old Hwy 329 and Hwy 22. The suspects failed to yield and officers pursued their Ford Taurus onto I-71 north bound. the suspects crossed over the median and traveled south bound on I-71 until additional police officers responded to assist primary officers. The suspects drove their vehicle into three police vehicles before stopping on I-71 south at the 13 mile marker. Both suspects were taken into custody without injury to themselves or responding officers. Their were two small children inside of the suspects vehicle and after being checked by EMS, both were returned to their mother without injury. The suspects were identified as 30 year old, Luke A. Hasty of Shepherdsville, KY. The second suspect was identified as 32 year old, Solomon S. Evans Jr. of Shepherdsville, KY.
Both suspects are being charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, three counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, three counts of Criminal Mischief 1st degree, one count of Robbery 1st degree, one count of Fleeing and Evading 1st degree, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Hasty Luke is also being charged with Operating on a DUI Suspended Operators License. Both have multiple outstanding warrants throughout Kentucky, as well as other states.
